A Modern Day Witch Hunt by Kiki Howell & Gina Kincade ~ A Cursed All Hallows' Eve Author Spotlight Interview #CursedHallowsEve #witch #immortals #paranormalromance #urbanfantasy #Halloween #savior #Salem @ginakincade @kikihowell7

 Blurb:

Kamillia, an author of paranormal romance, is accused of being an actual witch by an ambitious group of businessmen with a dark agenda. A man who resembles one of her fictional characters, an alpha male hero, randomly appears at her door offering her protection.

Luca is an immortal Watcher from the River of Light. Sent to Earth to help Kamillia, whose true heritage has yet to be revealed to her, Luca is caught off guard by the fighting spirit of the woman and the way his human body betrays him while in her presence.

When Kamillia is attacked, and all the lies she’s been told come to light, she and Luca are forced to join together. Despite numerous obstacles, they need to overcome the evil of many centuries blocking a portal under a mysterious church on the edge of town.

On Halloween night, she will have to face her past—as in a past life—in a big way. Only then can she return to what is left of her life, with or without this stranger who has captured her heart but cannot share her future

Excerpt:

Prologue

Shores of Pickering Wharf

Salem, MA

Week of Halloween

The hefty breeze pushed the small, blue, rolling waves into white, jagged peaks with the same urgency he felt inside as he sat gazing out upon the vastness of the water. Leaning against a weathered retaining wall with an audible sigh, Luca glanced behind him at the blue-gray haze over the small town cityscape silhouette. The pollution, a mixture of smoke and sky, presented itself as an omen of great significance to him. He knew the buildings, along with some of the houses beyond, already held within them the inhabitants he’d both come to protect and come to battle. In his five hundred years as a Watcher, the energy of the Earth had changed, negatively affecting the human condition.

He viewed their existence from his realm on a daily basis, a place just beyond this one, a small segment of space that served as a window to the world. From his perch there, each city had its own fundamental haze blurring its buildings and beings. This mystical force field, referred to as The River of Light, or simply The River by Watchers such as Luca, formed an energy grid covering the earth.

The grid could be seen as a matrix of light, sound, and colors forming geometric patterns around the planet. Humans had attempted to observe such patterns in the study of Sacred Geometry, but the immortal Watchers watched over and recorded the changing spiritual energies of history from their posts at The River. Ever shifting, the ebbs and flows of the negative and positive life energy swirled and moved over the varied landscapes of the Earth much like waterways. Therefore, it was critical for him to witness when certain changes emerged, what energy the events causing the changes added to the collective conscious of the world, and how the energy impacted the flow of The River. Recently, this city in the northeastern part of the United States had grown darker and darker until it choked under a bout of polluted smog-like energies. To give an ironic but truthful view of history, this was the first time Salem, Massachusetts had looked this bad. Even then, the frenzy of the only spiritual pollution inspired by the hunters during the witch hunts hadn’t darkened things to this extent. The residual energy that lingered here had been built upon since and currently required his intervention.

On Earth, back in true human form, a Watcher could see through this haze to the true souls of the people revealed to him in the colors of their auras. Both systems simply mirrored each other. Just as the human body had a meridian system with vital life force energy flowing through it, the world had a similar system of passageways through which the collective life force flowed. They not only mirrored each other, but affected each other, too. On the astral plane, the integral energy of human thoughts, words, and deeds combined into the mystical force field he kept watch over. Although he’d been sent to Earth many times before, a greater sense of foreboding gripped him this time. The places where the lines of the energy grid intersected and channeled to the earth had become blocked at alarming rates here these last few days, warning of impending danger. At portals such these, the energy proved stronger in its effects on the surrounding area.

AUTHOR INTERVIEW

Hello and welcome, readers! We have Kiki Howell here with us today. Kiki, thanks for visiting us.

How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing?

I have been writing since I was young, in a way. From my earliest books, when I didn't care for a part, or the ending, I re-wrote the book in my head when daydreaming, or trying to fall asleep at night. At some point I decided to simply try to write my own story. I wrote a lot in high school and college, but then I got married, became a mother, and all of that went to the wayside, outside of my love for reading, for a long time as I fulfilled another dream of being a stay at home mother. But all children grow up, and thus as they needed me less, I found my way back to writing.

What inspires you to write?

Oh, lots of things, but mostly I call it therapy. A lot comes out in my stories that I am struggling with in real life, heavily disguised in paranormal characters and story lines. I feel this form of creativity, along with many others in my life, are life lines I would not survive without.

Where can readers find you?

You can find out about my other stories at http://www.kikihowell.com

As far as social media goes, you can find me hanging out for the most part at

About the Author:

Ever since she was young, Kiki Howell has loved to listen to a well-woven tale with real characters, inspired plots, and delightful resolutions. Kiki could spend hours lost in a book, and soon she knew that creating lives, loves, and losses with just words had to be the greatest thing that she could do. To that end, she pursued her study of literature and writing, earning a bachelor’s degree in English. She then followed in a Master’s program in Creative Writing.

“After a long break having my boys, I finally just had to write again. And, as soon as I gave the stories the space, they entered it. It’s both awesome and humbling to find the words in my mind become characters on a page and create their lives.”

She has now had over fifty stories published between eleven different publishers.  She could not be more thrilled or grateful to see her creations polished and out in the real world. Please look around. Although, a bit of caution, most of her stories tend to hang out on the graphically sexy side of town.

In May, 2011, Kiki was chosen as an Ohioana Book Festival author for her novel, Torn Asunder. She's also had three flash fiction stories win writing contests. Since the fall of 2013, she's had three novels - Hidden Salem, Salem's Revenge, and What Lies Within Us - hit Amazon Top 100 Bestsellers Lists in several categories like Paranormal, Suspense, Ghosts, Gothic Fiction, and Occult Horror. Most recently, the second in her Salem Series, Salem's Revenge, hit the Top 10 on Amazon in Witch & Wizard Thrillers. In October of 2017, Kiki hit the USA Today Bestsellers List.

Excerpt from Hellbound Heart, Born of Hellfire Series, Book One by Erzabet Bishop & Gina Kincade

Dante came back to himself as Cat’s energy flooded into him. He’d tried to leave her before he could leave any incriminating evidence, but she would have none of that. The bite on his shoulder stung, but even more was the knowledge that she had claimed him before he could do the same.

She’d marked him.

Fuck.

In all the history of the world, he’d never heard of an incubus bonding with a prospective soul.

It was ludicrous.

Gods, if Morgan knew, she’d be laughing her ass off. And so would Luc. Hell, it wouldn’t surprise him if the bastard had something to do with it.

Cat was different.

And not just because she was a shifter.

Cock hard and aching, he groaned at the taste of her nectar still lingering on his tongue. Hell, he wanted to fuck her senseless.

Again.

Twice would never be enough.

And since when did he lose control during a dream session?

She rolled him.

God, she really did.

He blinked, stunned.

Fuck.

He skimmed the bite mark along his shoulder, and winced.

What the fuck had just happened?

She fit against him perfectly, her movements his. He got up from the bed and stormed into the bathroom, letting the cold, harsh light bring him back to reality.

He flipped on the water to the shower and waited, hardly daring to look at himself in the mirror. These days, it was a dangerous thing to do. Dante plunged his hand into the stream and walked into the spray, hardly minding it was nearly scalding hot. Maybe he could scrub his soul clean while he was at it.

But it was far too late for that.

Hot water boiling against his skin, he took his cock in hand. If he didn’t come again soon, he was going to go insane. The erection he sported just thinking about her was becoming nearly comical.

Like one of those commercials that warned of having a hard-on longer than four hours.

He chuckled darkly to himself and let his imagination wander. Four hours to tie Cat up and show her some of the sensual tricks in his arsenal.

How he would dearly love to make her howl again.

Dante ran his palm along the length of his cock and began to pump himself hard. A bead of precum appeared, and he felt the explosion building with every long stroke. He growled and thrust harder into his hand, remembering her hot, tight heat. Beads of water cascaded down his face, and he saw the passion in her eyes as she lay beneath him. Her legs wrapping around him, urging him on, with a body built for sin and a soul that he knew in his heart would never be his to take.

That just made him all the more determined. Everyone had sin they were trying to hide. Hell, she had all but admitted liking bondage books. But at the same time, when he tasted her, all he could find was the sweet essence of innocence.

“I will have you, Red. I’ll fuck you ‘till you scream, and this time, I’ll mark you.” Even as he said the words, he knew them for the lie they were. There was something about this woman that made his heart swell just as much as his dick. Damned inconvenient was what it was.

Dante roared as his release ripped through him and his seed coated the glass wall of the shower before joining the scorching spray to spiral down the drain. Finishing up in the shower, he dried himself and padded back toward the bed where the stack of romances she’d recommended beckoned to him. As he climbed into bed and reached for the first one, the haunting gaze of the green-eyed vixen stuck behind his eyes, the memory of her softness clinging to him like a dream.

Bind My Body by Jayelle Morgan ~ A Cursed All Hallows' Eve Author Spotlight Interview #PNR #paranormalromance #zombies #zombielove #zombieromance #spookyreads #paranormalromancebooks #witchbooks #CursedHallowsEve

Blurb:

I spit dirt out of my mouth and shamble home to my wife, only to find out I’ve been missing for six weeks. That’s impossible, but the last thing I remember is... Well, nothing.

My wife thinks I left her, but I love her more than life itself. Now it’s just a matter of convincing her of that as we piece together the missing time with the help of a friend.

The problem is, I’m starting to think I did something worse than just leave. That I am something worse than an unfaithful husband.

Turns out the most impossible thing to happen to me isn’t being murdered... It’s coming back.

Excerpt:

When I get home, the garage door is still up. Everything else looks normal and undisturbed. The front door is closed, and no shadows move behind the curtains.

I sit in the car, fighting off disappointment and fear. Maybe I am just crazy.

Maybe I’d been dreaming, sleep walking. I’d gone back to sleep quickly after the neighbor’s dog had quit barking, but then I’d awakened to sounds outside. Rustling, and the trashcan lid. There had been a feeling in the air, a weird pressure, but I’d ignored it, thinking raccoons had gotten into the trash. I’d turned on the light to chase them off when I’d heard the scraping at the door. Then I’d heard him say my name.

Shaking, I turn off the car and shut the garage door behind me. I won’t run again. This is my chance to see Grady, even if it is all in my head.

Breathing deep, I get out of the car and quietly enter the house. The lamp is still on in the living room, and I step toward the warm glow. As I round the corner, I see him, and stop. My knees weaken under me and I sink into a chair. “Oh my God.”

He's lying on the couch, looking gray, dirty, and thin, and just as dead as he should be.

But then he opens his eyes and turns his head toward me. “I’m sorry I scared you. Can we talk?”

However he appeared, whatever he is, my dead husband is lying on our couch, talking to me.

AUTHOR INTERVIEW

Hello and welcome, readers! We have Jayelle Morgan here with us today. Jayelle, thanks for visiting us.

How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing?

I’ve been writing seriously for about four years. It’s something I always wanted to do since reading romance novels when I was young. One day I decided to write a story that I had been thinking about before bed for many years. That was book 1 in my first series, Burn!

Tell us about your title featured in: A Cursed All Hallows’ Eve

My book is Bind My Body. It’s a spooky, emotional, fun intersection of Voodoo magic, zombies, and romance.

How did you come up with the storyline?

I was listening to a song, and this story just ‘showed up’, playing like a movie reel in my head. It was after a health scare with my husband, so between the song, my fears for him, and my love of PNR, this story was born.

What inspires you to write?

Emotions, mainly. I want to make people feel things when they read my stories.

Tell us about your other books:

My other books are all mainly in my Elemental Hearts series. It’s a series about HOT warriors with elemental powers, falling in love and saving the world!

Black Slumber by Helen Scott ~ A Cursed All Hallows' Eve Author Spotlight Interview @HelenM459 #pnr #vampirebooks #thingsthatgobumpinthenight #halloweenvibes #vampires #vampyre #vampireromance #reverseharem #reverseharemwriter #romanceauthor #fantasyromance #paranormalromance #CursedHallowsEve

 Blurb:

After centuries in the Black Sleep I’ve woken up to find my uncle, the regent, calling himself king. When I rise to the throne will he step back like he’s supposed to or put up a fight?

I get the answer I’m looking for when a mage attacks during a royal court event, cursing me to never be able to feed again. Just when I’m about to give myself to the sun everything changes and I know I’ve been betrayed on the deepest level.

The only question that remains is can these men that saved me from the sun help me take back what is mine?

Excerpt:

Once Kyra was around the table and standing behind her seat next to her father, the music changed to something statelier, as though I were an old woman, which I supposed in some ways was true. I ignored the dig at my age and began my own procession through the crowd.

The room was silent as everyone turned to stare at me, like a bride on her wedding day. No applause this time. Just a breath being held by everyone until I entered the room, and then murmurs and whispers spread like wildfire as women and men openly talked about me. It was like they had forgotten I had vampiric hearing just like them. Variations of “Doesn’t look much like a queen to me,” and “She may as well be a child,” and “Look at how beautiful she is,” filled my ears.

Once I was in front of my uncle, I curtsied as was custom and waited for him to release me from the pose. Since the short period of time until I was crowned was the only time he was going to get me to bow to him, I knew he would take advantage of it. That was just the kind of man he was. True to form, he let me hold the pose for much longer than necessary.

“My wonderful niece, how good to see you awake and moving around again! Stand, stand. We don’t need to be on formal behavior here.” He laughed, and the court joined in as though I had just made a complete idiot of myself.

I straightened and tried not to grimace at the mask he’d chosen. A huge smiling sun covered most of his face. There was something about the expression on the mask that seemed slightly menacing though. “Uncle, it’s good to see you again as well,” I said, plastering my best smile on my face. My uncle was a portly gentleman whose salt-and-pepper hair would have given him an air of elegance if it weren’t for his ruddy face. Before I’d slept, he had been a heavy drinker, a fact that his skin reflected even now, though he seemed quite sober. I always found it funny that most members of the royal family had the traditional pale skin that humans thought of as appropriate for a vampire, while other members had cavorted to the point that they looked more like the humans they so detested.

“Come and sit down. We set a special place for you tonight at my right-hand side.”

I didn’t miss the implication. The place was special because he never expected me to sit there again, and he certainly never imagined I’d be able to take his seat. I knew if I drew attention to the remark, he’d brush it off, tell me that I was being paranoid or too sensitive. So I smiled and sat, and quietly reaffirmed the knowledge that I wouldn’t be able to trust anyone in my family.

AUTHOR INTERVIEW

Hello and welcome, readers! We have Helen Scott here with us today. Helen Scott, thanks for visiting us.

How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing?

I’ve been an author for almost four years, but I’ve been writing for most of my life. I never expected to be an author, I just thought it wasn’t something I could do, I mean who can plan a whole book out let alone multiple books? But then I started taking classes and learning and slowly after a brief stint in the publishing industry itself I decided it was time to jump in.

Tell us about your title featured in: A Cursed All Hallows’ Eve

Black Slumber is the tale of a princess who has been asleep for centuries due to the royal vampires taking turns to be on the throne. It’s all about her waking up and dealing with the new world, and the people who don’t want to take her rightful place on the throne. There are curses and lovers and evil people who just want to have all the power for themselves.

How did you come up with the storyline?

It’s a bit of a twisted retelling of Sleeping Beauty but with vampires.

What inspires you to write?

The characters I day dream about, the worlds I wish I could visit, and of course the drama of falling in love.

Tell us about your other books:

I love mythology so most of my books have some of that running through them with a fantasy twist!

The Siren Legacy was my first series, which is about a group of brothers descended from the sirens from Greek mythology. I also have the Wardens of Midnight series (shifters who run an animal shelter). Both of these are just regular paranormal romance.

I also have the Cerberus series which is a PNR RH, and a Fantasy RH series called Four Worlds.

I'm lucky enough to have done some cowritten reverse harem series with some amazing authors! The first, The Salsang Chronicles, was with Serena Akeroyd (and is a complete series), but I also have a complete series, The Hollow, with Ellabee Andrews, a soon to be complete series with Lucinda Dark called Twisted Fae, and I have a series going with May Dawson called Prisoners of Nightstone, and I have a series called Legends Unleashed Lacey Carter Andersen!

Paranormal Romance Authors Discuss The First PNR They Ever Read

Ah, firsts. We all have them: first kisses, first dates, first time behind the wheel. Some of them are memorable, and some we'd rather forget. For this month's edition of Paranormal Romance Authors Discuss, my friends and I are going to tell you about some of our firsts. Which firsts might they be? Read on to find out!

Topic: Tell us about the first paranormal romance book you ever read.

I was a precocious child and started reading at a really young age. By the time I was ten, I had blown through my mother's copies of Gone With the Wind and Flowers in the Attic, lol. It wasn't until I was thirteen that I discovered some pretty amazing supernatural tales in my local Waldenbooks, and that all started with Anne Rice. I suppose from there I just grabbed anything I could get my hands on that involved the paranormal and my love for all things bookish and reading just took off to new heights. So I guess it was not anyone book, but a multitude of fantastic folks like Ms. Anne Rice, Nora Roberts, Teresa Medeiros, to Patricia Briggs, Chanda Kahn, Eve Langlais, Milly Taiden, Celia Kyle and so many more, that brought me to this state of utter fascination with PNR love stories. ~C.D. Gorri, author of Purely Paranormal Pleasures

The very first paranormal romance I ever read was Katie MacAlister's Sex and the Single Vampire. That title alone grabbed me. I loved that she wrote about vampires, but it wasn't dark or scary (even though her vamps are known as the Dark Ones) and that the heroines were the ones who could save these mysterious sexy guys souls through the power of love! Her books are laugh out loud funny and I've read every single book she's written because she keeps me smiling and swooning. ~Aidy Award, author of Dirty Wolf

It was Anne Rice's, The Mayfair Witches. What intrigued me the most about this book was how real she made her characters feel. I loved the folklore and history she wove into the story. It was also so much more entertaining than reading about real people because it stretched my imagination. ~Terri A. Wilson, author of Crimson Moon Hideaway: Time Wasn't Ready (Women of the Fold Book 1)

The first paranormal romance I remember reading was Kiss of Midnight by Lara Adrian. It's book 1 of the Midnight Breed series, and it's about a group of vampire warriors who protect the world from rogues. I'd had plenty of experience with "monsters" from the horror side, but this was the first time I experienced them getting their own happily ever afters, complete with thrilling adventure and lots and lots of steam. I was hooked on the genre after reading Kiss of Midnight. ~Carrie Pulkinen, author of the Crescent City Wolf Pack Series

Living in one of the six Celtic Nations, I am often drawn to Celtic inspired romance novels. These romances are often Scottish and while Lucy Monroe’s 'Moon Craving' fits the kilt wearing mould (making me go weak at the knees with the hero’s every muttered ‘och’ and ‘aye’), 'Moon Craving' has a twist – a paranormal twist. Talorc, the strapping, shirtless hero, is the leader of a secret werewolf shifting clan. The story tells of his arranged marriage to an English woman who is determined to keep the secret that she’s deaf from her new husband. As you’d expect, the couple fall in love but both characters must learn to trust the other with their secrets. In this historical romance novel you will find passion, a brave heroine who fights for what her heart wants and the all-important paranormal story that keeps you turning the page. Reading this story changed my expectations of romance novels. Now, propelled by that discovery, I have created my own paranormal world of shapeshifters and prowling, hungering heroes and I will be very happy if they give you even a small amount of the joy that this book has given me. ~Beth Linton, author of The Guardians' Trust: Ana (Book 1)

It's so hard to recall, since I started reading romance when I was 13... But the first paranormal romance that really stands out for me is A Quick Bite by Lynsay Sands. I've read the entire series (all 31 books) since, though I definitely prefer her earlier (funnier) books! ~Mia Harlan, author of Amber

I honestly can't remember; I've been reading paranormal romance since I was a pre-teen, and that was a long, long time ago! The ones that stuck with me the most, though, were from my mother's library (God bless the woman for feeding my reading soul). Katie McAlister's dragon series are some of my faves and were the books that convinced me I wanted to write paranormal (Drake, her green dragon wyvern, will always be my favorite dragon of all time). And let's not forget Alyssa Day's Poseidon's Warriors; I devoured all those books and am so thrilled that she's writing them again! Oh, and Alexis Morgan's Paladins of Darkness series; I just found out she has been writing a spinoff series, so I'm heading right over to her website to go check them out! ~Tami Lund, author of Taming the Dragon Series

As I try to think back to that time, I believe it was Morrigan's Cross (Circle Trilogy, Book 1) by Nora Roberts. I went on to read the rest of the trilogy. I loved all three books so much I read them again. Then bought the audiobooks and listened to them about three times. This was, of course, before I ever thought about writing my own books. I'd always been a fan of Nora Roberts' books, especially her In Death Series, a futuristic, crime suspense series. I fell in love with the vampire in her Circle Trilogy and I guess, you might say it was those three books that inspired me to write my first book. Oddly enough, my first book was not PNR, but more Urban Fantasy. I do have a vampire series now, Immortal Hearts of San Francisco, of which book 6, Bewitched by a Vampire, has just released. Like Nora's Circle Trilogy, my vampire series is heavy on the romance side. ~Susan Griscom, author of Bewitched by a Vampire, Book 6 in the Immortal Hearts of San Francisco

If I recall, the first paranormal romance I ever read was Dark Lover, Book 1 in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. ~Gina Kincade, author of Shifting Hearts Dating App Series

The first paranormal romance I ever read was The Witching Hour by Anne Rice. I absolutely loved the Mayfair Witches and the entire series (but I love everything she's written, so there is definitely a bias). I am not sure if it technically qualifies as a romance, but there was definitely some paranormal seduction in play. ;) ~Corinne O'Flynn, author of Maximum Security Magic

The Vampire Diaries series by LJ Smith was my first paranormal romance. I read it in middle school and immediately started writing my own short stories featuring vampires, monsters, and werewolves and the women who love them. I've since started re-reading The Vampire Diaries series and it hasn't held up as well as I'd hoped, but I'm still enjoying the trip back in time. ~Liza Street, author of Filthy Beast

Hallowed Night by Charlotte Raven Hart ~ A Cursed All Hallows' Eve Author Spotlight Interview #CursedHallowsEve

Blurb:

On the night when it is said that the veil between the living and the dead is the thinnest, two women lost their lives. A year later, in a fake seance gone wrong, one of them is brought back. Teagan doesn’t know how she came back or even what she is now, all she knows is that she is somehow connected to Ronin, a handsome stranger that was there the night of the seance. He is the only one who knows who she is and can help her piece together what happened. Her murder remains unsolved and finding her killer may be the only chance she has at another life, but when her old boyfriend shows up sowing doubt in her mind, she doesn’t know who she can really trust.

Excerpt:

It wasn’t necessary for us to do this in the cemetery, it was just a ritual to bless the harvest and offer good fortune moving into the darker months, but it was our way of honoring those that came before us, and who falsely lost their lives. Salem always seemed to have special energy, like a spiritual nexus, in my opinion the tragedy that happened hundreds of years ago was no mere coincidence.

Megan and I joined the others and took our places in the circle. We laid out wheat in between us to form a pentagram and put items representing the harvest, fertility and good fortune in the center.

I lost myself in the simple ritual. Something about this time of year, the spirits, the rare full moon, it called to me. Like whispers in the stiff breeze. I relished it.

We finished up and said our goodbyes, but Megan hung back and pulled me aside.

“You all right, Tea?”

“Yeah, why?” I asked, grabbing my cloak and putting it back on.

“I don’t know. I just got this strange feeling while we were doing the ritual. Be careful, OK?”

“Of course,” I said with a smile. She turned and walked out into the narrow street. Something in the shadow of the building across the street caught my eye, but I didn’t think anything about it. It was probably just one of the other girls, right?

I turned to go the opposite way on the street when a heart wrenching scream shattered the silent night. I turned.

Nothing about the scene in front of me made any sense; my mind couldn’t comprehend it. I registered individual details--a darkened figure, a glint of metal, a puddle on the street where there hadn’t been one before, Megan on the ground--but none of them seemed to fit together.

The figure moved closer to me and my natural instincts kicked in. I ran back inside the cemetery, thinking I would escape out the path to the side. A tug on my cloak pulled me back, making me stumble. Fumbling with the clasp, I let it drop lurching forward and hitting the large central crypt. As I pushed myself off of it and turned, a sharp pain slashed through my left arm.

A cry rang out that I only distantly registered was from me. My heart raced, panic rushing through my mind.

Just move! Move move move!

A thump behind me, A force making me stumble and fall to my knees. I was frozen, eyes wide, blood draining from my face. Only when the knife was violently yanked out did the pain begin to flood through me. I collapsed and the figure stood towering above. A dark boot kicked me over onto my back. I couldn't speak, I couldn’t move. A gloved hand came down. The knife went in again and again. I never could see his face, hidden in the shadows of a dark hood.

When I closed my eyes, all I saw was Megan’s lifeless face.

Wait for me, my friend, I’ll join you soon…

AUTHOR INTERVIEW

Hello and welcome, readers! We have CHARLOTTE RAVEN HART here with us today. CHARLOTTE, thanks for visiting us.

How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing?

For as long as I can remember, really! I would always get these pretty journals and make up stories in them. My third grade teacher told my parents that she knew I would end up as a writer, and she was right!

Tell us about your title featured in: A Cursed All Hallows’ Eve

In my story, two girls are murdered and on their anniversary a group of guys decide to perform a fake sceance. However, it partially worked and one of the girls was brought back. In the story, her family and friends don’t see her, but Ronin, one of the guys who did the seance can. They learn that they are connected somehow, so they try to find some answers along with Teagan’s killer.

How did you come up with the storyline?

I love ghost stories and mysteries! I have had the basic idea for this story a while now and this collection was the excuse I needed to finally put it down on paper! I wanted to incorporate my love for Salem in this story as well as I felt it was the perfect backdrop for this kind of tale.

Tell us about your other books:

My debut novel, co-authored with dark fantasy and horror author Cindar Harrell, will be releasing in December. We are both very excited to finally see Reality Breaker out in the world! This novel deals with a lot of difficult topics such as mental illness, but interwoven in it is a world of fantasy and romance. The theme is when everything around seems to be falling apart and not making much sense, then how can you tell the difference between dreams and reality. Think of it as a modern take on Alice in Wonderland.

Where can readers find you?

The best place to find me is my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/charlotteravenhart/ I will post any updates here as well as newsletter sign ups when that is ready. If you would like more information on my upcoming novel, you can check it out on my Amazon author page here: www.amazon.com/author/charlotteravenhart
