Hells Angel by Kim Faulks

Professional opinion:

Hells Angel is a fast paced, gripping read with twists and turns that go from terrifying the reader with the author's gruesome descriptions, to making one feel sorrow and empathy for the characters and the tribulations they've lived through.

The author has skillfully made both of the  protagonists into people you are actually concerned about, have come to almost care for, and want to know how they solve their difficulties and how things will turn out. IF things will turn out at all.

Her descriptions of each character, both primary and secondary, are masterfully crafted in such a way that a reader is able to envision their features, actions and even pick up the individual personality traits, mannerisms written in for each.

Each each chapter, almost each scene reveals a little more information on the entirety of the book, keeping the reader's attention and providing more depth to each character's situation as it progresses.

The book detailed the scenes, the stench of death, the feel of murder and extreme gore with so much blood shed throughout it was almost visual, but the author has combined it all with feelings, compassion, evil doing good and eventually, a reason for it all.

The ending was a surprising twist that may have been hinted at during the course of the book but not really revealed completely until the very end.

Personal Notes:

I couldn't put it down once I'd started. The plot is so intense that unless you understand, have a passion for the genre, and really READ the words on the page, you couldn't possibly understand the climactic end to the journeys of the characters within. In fact, I'm hoping Ms. Faulks writes a sequel to the Hunter & Kellah story.  One with a little more of where this Demon and her hunter end up next...

The only drawback from this reader's perspective would be the lack of proper copyediting.
Thankfully it wasn't enough to distract from the overall enjoyment of the book, but, if an editor was paid to copy edit this book then I suggest getting a refund.  If one wasn't used, then the author has done themselves a great disservice and should sincerely consider one for this and future books.
I am however, quite critical when it comes to proper editing. This could very well be a book published by the "Big 6" and still contain similar, or possibly more errors.

I look forward to reading more of Kim Faulks in the near future.
Well done Ms. Faulks
